Beyoncé Knowles will be singing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” from the classic movie, “The Wizard of Oz” at Movie Rocks.

The event that is wrapped in a concert held at Los Angeles’ Kodak Theater on December 2 will showcase the stars singing notable songs from movies such as ‘Wizard of Oz’, ‘Casablanca’, James Bond’s ‘Live and Let Die’ and many more.

“We wanted to create an extraordinary show that would pay tribute to the indelible impact music has on film,” Conde Nast Media Group President Richard Beckman told Asscoiated Press on Wednesday (October 23). Proceeds from this concert will go to Entertainment Industry Foundation.

CBS will air the taped event on December 7 in a two-hour TV special. In addition there will be a medley of songs composed by songwriter and pianist John Williams who have penned tracks from movies such as ‘E.T.’, ‘Schindler’s List’ and ‘Harry Potter’ series.

Beyonce Knowles Fans in Turkey will be disappointed to know that her concert has been cancelled. The R&B star was scheduled to perform in Istanbul, but it has been cancelled. So all Beyonce’s fans have to wait for some time.

The reason behind the cancellation of the concert is the death of 12 soldiers who were killed in Kurdish rebel attack.

The concert was being organized by a soccer club Fenerbahce to celebrate their 100th anniversary.

The Fenerbahce website said that ‘We share our nation’s grief, we are cancelling our 100th anniversary concert’

Beyonce Knowles, R&B Celebrity has been reported was forced to cancel her first ever concert in Kuala Lumpur on November 1. Although it was not confirmed, the real reason may be a Muslim group who protested against Beyonce Knowles concert. The country is known for the strict rules performers have to remember. According to Billboard.com, there must be no hugging or kissing audience members of the audience or artists, no jumping or shouting, no throwing objects on stage or at the audience, and no foul language.

Gwen Stefani may have handled her gig in Malaysia well, but not so much for Beyonce Knowles. The diva’s concert in the country’s capital Kuala Lumpur has been cancelled because she reportedly didn’t want to compromise with the strict dress code.

In other Celebrity news, Beyonce will release a DVD with a stunning live performance from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The DVD is set to hit stores November 27th. The concert features a guest appearance of celebrities like, hip-hop mogul Jay-Z and her Destiny’s Child ex-bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland.

She is all set to perform at the Shanghai Grand Stage. Her performance too will be rocking like her previous performances.
